Inspirational Words - Winston Churchill

Winston Churchill lived a long, full, and varied life, occupying various positions in the British army and politics, but was also a writer, historian, artist, and great public speaker. He is best known for his role as British Prime Minister during WW2, in which he rallied his nation to fight with the Allies against the Nazi powers. A man who faced many trials in his life and was looked to as a leader during some of the darkest times in modern history, Churchill stood firmly by his convictions during the war and refused to accept defeat or surrender. He is a man who stood for freedom in the face of those who sought to dominate and control all humankind, and kept a sense of humour about his despite everything. Winston Churchill remains a quintessential example of leadership and conviction in the face of horrible circumstances and incredible odds.

Inspirational Words - Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi is one of the most iconic and inspirational figures in modern history. He stood firmly for his convictions in the face of overwhelming opposition and seemingly impossible circumstances, and in doing so fought for civil rights in South Africa and freed India from British colonial rule. He was a testament to nonviolence in the face of violence, to courage in the face of fear, and to faith in the face of despair. Despite his great accomplishments, Ghandi was far from perfect, and did not consider himself a saint - he acknowledged his own humanity and the common humanity of all human beings.

The following are some of his quoted words. Read. Reflect. Learn.
