Some battles don’t get
won in a day. Some battles don’t ever get won. Sometimes people can fight a
battle their entire lives only to realize near the end that they spent all their
time fighting a battle really wasn’t worth fighting after all. And why is it
that we find the need to fight at all? Where are we trying to get? What are we
trying to win? We work and push and struggle and suffer and hope to come out
the victors at the end of the day…but against whom or what could we ever truly
emerge victorious?
The only real battle is
the one we fight within ourselves, and the only true victory is when we learn a
way to stop fighting; when we learn to simply be in the world.
